Ulucan Öztürk, LL.M.
Ulucan Öztürk, a founding partner at Öztürk Hanağası Öztürk, focuses on dispute resolution, particularly in cross-border arbitrations and complex commercial litigation proceedings. He represented both Turkish and foreign clients in numerous arbitrations under ICC and ISTAC rules. Additionally, he conducts complex commercial litigation proceedings before Turkish courts on behalf of his clients. His expertise extends to providing consultancy services to Turkish and foreign companies, as well as governmental bodies and embassies, particularly in matters pertaining to foreign investment management, compliance, and alternative dispute resolution. His experience covers the sectors of infrastructure, energy, and the international sale of goods.
Öztürk, who obtained a double major degree in law and political science at Ankara University, also holds an LL.M. degree in International Dispute Settlement (MIDS) from Geneva University Law School and Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. His working languages are Turkish, German, and English.

Emel Hanağası, an Associate Professor of Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy Law at Ankara University, is a founding partner at Öztürk Hanağası Öztürk. Her academic research covers a wide range of topics, including procedural aspects of litigation, debt enforcement and bankruptcy, the right to a fair trial, dispute resolution and arbitration, mediation, consumer law, insurance law, and corporate law. Hanağası has actively participated and contributed to the drafting of various legislation as a member of academic committees. Additionally, she has been involved in numerous cases as an expert witness and has made substantial contributions to their resolution by providing legal opinions.

Hanağası who conducted research at the Université Jean Moulin – Lyon III (France) for her PhD thesis, carried out her postdoctoral studies at the Université Pantheon-Sorbonne – Paris I (École de droit de La Sorbonne: Institut de Recherche juridique – Département sur la Justice et le Procès). Her working languages are Turkish and French.

Her academic research covers a wide range of topics, including procedural aspects of litigation, debt enforcement and bankruptcy, the right to a fair trial, dispute resolution and arbitration, mediation, consumer law, insurance law, and corporate law.
